February 17, 2012 Willie Wildcat

One of  the benefits of working at a university is not knowing who or what you might see when you walk in the door!  This morning, I was greeted by Willie Wildcat (for the record, his name is NOT Willie The Wildcat, just Willie Wildcat.  You never know when you might need that little piece of information.)

Anyway, Willie was waiting for me when I walked in the Union this morning.  Perhaps it is possible that he wasn't waiting for me exactly, but was there to welcome a gathering of students considering attending Kansas State.

Or maybe to see me.

(It's possible.)

Willie began flexing his muscles when he saw me pull out my camera and I took the obligatory photo.

But then I said "Willie, what happened during the KU game?  I was watching it with KU fans.  Bets were made.  Bets were lost."

Poor Willie.  He looked at me as if he couldn't believe someone would even bring up something unpleasant and then he covered his face with his hands and started shaking his head.  It was pretty funny.

It's probably a good thing Willie Wildcat doesn't talk.  I'm thinking he would have had a lot to say this morning!
